The final stage — 200 marks in a board interview. BPSC's viva board tests composure, current affairs knowledge (last 6–12 months), Bangladesh geography and constitution, district-specific questions about your home district, and depth in your graduation subject. Preparation is unlike MCQ drilling — it requires reading, structured self-presentation, and knowing your own district facts cold.

What the BCS Viva Board Tests
The viva board evaluates composure under direct questioning, reasoned answers on Bangladesh's current affairs and governance, and depth in your academic subject. Board members frequently ask district-specific questions — area, notable history, river system of your home district. Candidates who know their zilla details cold score better here.
- Current affairs — last 6–12 months Bangladesh & international
- Your educational background — depth questions on your graduation subject
- Bangladesh geography, history, constitution

- Cadre-specific knowledge for your preferred cadre
- Presentation and dress code
- Formal attire — white shirt or saree preferred
